My name is Shirley Knights and I am married to Chris, have 2 grown up children and seven grandchildren. I live in a large village in South Lincolnshire with our three cats and three chickens.
I am a trained celebrant and have a NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Civil Celebrancy in the UK. I am also a member of the International College of Professional Celebrants (ICPC).
I enjoyed my previous career in social care and nursing until I retired and then followed the path of becoming a professional celebrant.
I have a strong passion for heritage railways, particularly steam and spend time volunteering for Nene Valley Railway. I am also qualified in Nutritional healing, Aura Soma Colour Therapy, and Reflexology.
You can be assured that I have all the professional skills and qualities necessary to create and conduct bespoke and personalised ceremonies.
When I married my husband, Chris, 23 years ago, we chose to have a ceremony presided over by a celebrant, after the legally required process in the registry office, and this created an experience more personal to us and our family. I would like to put this experience in all my ceremonies and create a unique ceremony just for you, whether it be celebrating your love as a couple on your Wedding Day or making you wedding vow renewals. I will create a bespoke, meaningful ceremony that isn’t religious. You will have complete creative freedom to make their day how you want it to be.
