Get in Touch

I am originally from Yorkshire and have loved living in the Scottish Borders for almost 10 years now with my husband, Paul.

After many years in the corporate world, I decided to make a change and do something I feel is more rewarding and meaningful. Becoming a celebrant is a long-held ambition and I am delighted to have achieved accreditation in this wonderful career and am proud to have trained with ICPC.

Working in a corporate environment has honed valuable skills which I have carried forward into my Celebrancy career but aside from these practical skills, I am also fluent in life skills such as empathy, kindness, listening and understanding.

I am a creative writer with a flair for bringing personal stories to life. Through listening to you, I can help to create a ceremony that reflects the person, or persons behind it. Whether that be a eulogy, wedding ceremony, naming ceremony or any other ceremony you wish to have, the words created in your ceremony will be personal to you.

Working with couples and families to make their milestone events memorable and everything they want it to be, is an honour that I take seriously.

Being a civil celebrant, there are no restrictions on what can be included in your ceremony. If you want religious content or not, rituals, tradition or something quirky, the sky's the limit!

What my clients say...

"Jaqui, where do I start. Thank you so much for speaking at my Dad's funeral. From the moment my husband and I spoke to you, we knew it would all be OK and I am so pleased Peter, from Jill Glencross, passed your name onto us. The service was perfect and you made everyone feel at ease. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Rebecca x"

"Jacquie, Just to say that was a beautiful service for L, it was all about L, so many people have said it was one of the nicest most personnal services they have been to, and you covered all the points about L so very well. Thank you"
